Hi everyone,

(Above) Here is a picture of me, Danielle (left), with my field assistant, Marina (right)! We are standing in front of the a basalt flow from the Columbia River Basalt Group known as the Rosalia Member. This outcrop is a wonderful example of a pillow basalt complex!

Bit of information about myself -

I graduated from the University of Kansas in 2015 with a B.Sc. in Geology. After that, I spent 2 years advocating for the earth sciences as a policy associate with the American Geosciences Institute in Washington D.C. During my time in D.C., I realized that I missed school and decided to apply to grad schools to study structural geology! I just completed my first year of grad school at Oregon State University working with Dr. Andrew Meigs (featured in the below picture to my right).

Brief intro from Marina -

Hello! My name is Marina. I grew up in Texas, spent some time in Boston, and now I live in Corvallis Oregon. I love geology and am about to start a M.S. at Oregon State University, but first volunteered my summer to Danielle. Hopefully my fearless leader and I will be able to come up with a fantastic map, spend a lot of time looking at great structure and have a fantastic time in general.
